We build the backend layer that your application relies on, written in TypeScript on Node.js with either Express or NestJS. Depending on your needs, this can be a REST API for a web or mobile client, a worker that processes uploaded files or queued jobs, or a bridge connecting your app to an external API. Data is handled through PostgreSQL, MongoDB or Redis, and the service runs in Docker.
This service suits startups and small teams whose front end is still running against mock data, or whose product needs an extra service alongside an existing backend. Writing the server in TypeScript lets it share type definitions with a TypeScript front end, so a renamed field surfaces as a build error rather than breaking a live page. Express or NestJS keeps the codebase approachable for whoever maintains it next.
The Starter package covers up to 3 REST endpoints in a single service, or one worker for file handling or an existing queue. Standard extends this to 8 endpoints, adds data storage in PostgreSQL with migrations or MongoDB, and includes a Dockerfile. Advanced scales further to 15 endpoints and brings in token-based authentication with user roles, a queue worker and CI through GitHub Actions.
Every package includes input validation and tests for each endpoint, plus a README, environment-variable configuration and the complete source code.
Work begins with a short written specification covering what each endpoint accepts and returns, which you review before coding starts. You can test a working build before final delivery, and progress updates are posted daily.
Deployment to your own server is available as an add-on. If your requirements sit between two packages, share the details and we will put together a tailored quote.
What we need from you
- A description of the service and a sample request showing the JSON response you expect.
- Your GitHub username, plus the repository if this joins an existing project; without GitHub, we deliver the code as an archive.
- Details of any external system the service must call, such as API documentation or sample data.
- For Standard or Advanced, the database to be used: access details, a schema dump, or confirmation it is a new database.
- Where the service will run, whether that is your Linux server, Docker or a cloud platform; if deployment is ordered, we will request SSH access in the order chat.
Your order opens its own thread here the moment it is paid, and everything about that order - questions, changes and the final report - happens in it.
NestJS is built on top of Express, so performance is similar between the two. Express suits a small, lean service. NestJS brings modules and dependency injection, which pay off as the codebase grows and more developers work on it together. Tell us about the service and we will recommend the right fit.
We count one method on one path as one endpoint, so GET /users and POST /users count as two. Pricing assumes standard work such as reading, saving or retrieving records, or calling another API. Payment processing, file uploads and heavy reporting are priced separately through a custom quote.
Yes. Grant us access to the repository and let us know how to run it locally. We match the existing structure and style, write in JavaScript if that is what the project uses, and add tests for any new code.
Yes, as part of the deployment add-on. We need SSH access to your Linux server and a domain already pointing to it. Server costs and ongoing maintenance are not included.
We do not take calls. All discussion stays in the order chat, so both sides have a clear record of what was agreed.
A revision corrects anything that does not match the agreed specification. New endpoints or changes to the spec count as new work and are covered by the endpoint add-on or a custom quote.
