WordPress error fixing, theme editing and site speed optimization

Website development · delivered in 2-8 days

What you get

  • Starter ($31.99, 2 days): one WordPress fault diagnosed and repaired, with the cause set out in writing. Includes a backup or staging copy made first, and 1 revision.
  • Standard ($112.99, 4 days): up to 3 faults resolved, with a written account of what was wrong, a backup or staging step beforehand, and 2 revisions.
  • Advanced ($250.99, 8 days): up to 6 repairs or theme adjustments carried out inside a child theme, plus a performance check, a prior backup or staging copy, written notes on the cause, and 3 revisions.

You will need to supply the domain for the order and a short brief describing the issue.

Many WordPress faults appear right after something changes: a core, theme or plugin update, a new add-on, or a server move. This service suits business websites and blogs that ran smoothly until one of those changes broke something. Our team has extensive hands-on WordPress experience, including writing custom PHP for themes and plugins.

The Starter tier resolves a single issue, whether that is a blank screen, a critical error, a broken page or a form that will not send. Standard covers up to three such issues and adds a written report. Advanced extends to up to six repairs or theme edits, with all theme work built into a child theme, plus a speed check carried out before and after the work.

Our process on a live site starts with a backup or a staging copy, so nothing is risked on the live environment. Theme changes live in a child theme and behavioural changes sit inside a small custom plugin, never inside WordPress core or another plugin's files, so future updates will not erase them. Each plugin conflict is tested in isolation, and faults are traced through the debug log rather than guessed at. For 14 days after delivery, anything that does not perform as agreed is corrected at no extra cost.

Speed work begins with measurement, then targets whatever the data shows: oversized images, scripts loading on every page, absent caching, or sluggish database queries. You receive the figures from before and after the change. We cannot promise a fixed score on any speed tool, since a single third-party script outside our control can hold a page back regardless of other improvements.

This service does not cover Shopify, Wix or similar builders, and it is not a full site redesign.

Communication runs through the order chat rather than calls, and you receive a full written record covering the findings, the changes made and how to verify them.

Our working steps:
1. Access and safety copy - you set up an administrator account for us and share hosting or SFTP details; a backup or staging copy is taken before any change.
2. Finding the fault - we recreate the problem and follow it through the debug log, installed plugins and the theme, then report the cause in writing.
3. Repairing safely - any code required goes into a child theme or its own small plugin, so updates do not undo it, and testing happens on staging where possible.
4. Full site review - after the fix we check the main pages, forms and checkout (if present), not only the page originally reported.
5. Handover note - a written summary of the fault, the fix and its location, with before-and-after speed figures included on the Advanced tier.

What happens after you buy

Your order opens its own thread here the moment it is paid, and everything about that order - questions, changes and the final report - happens in it.

Questions people ask

Should I send you my WordPress login?

No, please do not send your main credentials. Set up a separate administrator account for us instead and remove it once work is finished. For hosting access, a dedicated SFTP or control panel account is preferable where your provider offers one; share those details through the order chat.

Can you fix it without taking the site down?

In most cases, yes. We prepare fixes on a staging copy or roll them out in small steps while a backup stands ready. If any step requires brief downtime, we flag this beforehand so we can agree a suitable time together.

Why not just edit the plugin directly?

Direct edits to a plugin's own files get wiped out the moment that plugin updates, bringing the fault back. Placing the change in a child theme or a dedicated small plugin keeps it intact through future updates.

Do you work on WooCommerce stores too?

Yes, though store work such as checkout, payments, shipping and product setup is handled under a separate, dedicated service.
