Playable Unity or Godot game prototype

Web and tech · delivered in 14 days

We build a playable Unity or Godot prototype of your game concept, aimed squarely at one thing: finding out if the core loop holds up and is worth building further.

Why prototype first

The goal is not to demonstrate that a game can be built, but to discover whether this particular one deserves to be. The build stays focused on a single question, almost always the core loop, and anything that does not help answer it is left out: menus, saving, settings, polished art.

What is delivered

  • A playable version for desktop or browser, together with the complete Unity or Godot project files.
  • The central mechanic built well enough to evaluate properly: controls, feedback, difficulty progression, and a clear win or lose state.
  • Placeholder visuals that remain legible — coloured shapes with clear silhouettes, not generic blocks.
  • A concise written assessment covering what works, where players struggle, and suggested next steps.

Our process

We first settle on the one question the prototype needs to answer. From there we build the smallest version capable of answering it, hand it over for you to play, and use that feedback to shape the next iteration rather than letting it pile up unused. Godot tends to suit 2D projects and quick iteration, while Unity fits 3D work and console targets; we recommend whichever matches your concept.

What falls outside this scope

Finished art, sound, monetisation, multiplayer features, store listings and long-term progression systems are not part of this build. These belong to full production, and adding them before the loop is validated tends to waste effort.

What we need from you

A short paragraph describing your idea, mentions of 2 or 3 existing games with a similar feel, and the platform that matters most to you. Existing artwork or a design document is welcome but not required to get started.

Timeline and feedback

The first playable build arrives within the 14-day delivery window, kept deliberately rough so the core question gets answered while adjustments are still cheap. You play it, we discuss what did not land, and the following build responds to that feedback. If the loop is not working, that will be stated plainly rather than wrapped in a proposal for more scope. The package covers one fixed-price pass with 1 revision included.

What happens after you buy

Your order opens its own thread here the moment it is paid, and everything about that order - questions, changes and the final report - happens in it.

Questions people ask

Unity or Godot?

The choice depends on your concept: Godot works well for 2D games and rapid iteration, Unity suits 3D projects and console targets. Pricing is identical either way, and the full project is included regardless of engine.

Can we keep the project afterwards?

Yes. You keep ownership of the repository and all assets, along with a README explaining the project structure and build steps.

Will it include art and sound?

Only placeholder art is included, selected for clarity rather than polish. Final artwork and audio belong to production work and are quoted separately.
