Knowledgebase: My Site Is Under a DDoS Attack - What Should I Do?

If you believe your website is being hit with a DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack, it's important to act quickly to minimize disruption and protect your resources.

If your PBN.LTD-hosted site is under a DDoS attack, don’t panic—we’ve got tools in place to help.

✅ Step 1: Use Cloudflare (Recommended)

If your site isn’t already using Cloudflare as the CDN, switching to it is the most effective protection method.

Cloudflare offers:

  • Automatic DDoS mitigation

  • Industry-leading filtering and shielding

  • Smart IP dispersion

Learn more: 📘 What CDN Should I Use?

If you haven’t yet selected Cloudflare, you’ll need to:

  1. Back up and remove the site from your dashboard.

  2. Re-add the site, selecting Cloudflare as your CDN option.

  3. Update the nameservers at your registrar as instructed.

📌 Remember: You cannot change CDN mid-way unless you re-add the site. See the guide on Changing CDN Providers for full steps.

🔍 Step 2: Submit a Support Ticket for Advanced Protection

If you're already using Cloudflare and the DDoS attack is more aggressive or persistent, further mitigation rules may be needed.

Please submit a support ticket that includes:

  • The domain name under attack

  • When the attack started

  • Any visible symptoms (e.g., 502 errors, slow site, etc.)

Our technical team will:

  • Review the CDN and server logs

  • Deploy custom firewall or rate-limiting rules

  • Monitor for further anomalies

❗ Important Notes

  • PBN.LTD manages all CDN configurations internally. You do not need (or have) direct access to your CDN provider’s dashboard. Everything is handled securely behind the scenes.

  • If you're using a different CDN or setup (outside of our platform) ie; You are using our ntcloud hosting for subdomains, please note we do not support external CDN management. If this is the case, then you will need to add the rules yourself inside your own CDN providers account.
