Knowledgebase: How can I switch Payment Methods
Its very easy to switch between payment methods, here we tell you how to do so.
Whether you want to switch to a different card, change your PayPal account, or move from card payments to PayPal (or vice versa), it’s easy to do from within your PBN.LTD dashboard. However, it’s important to follow the correct process to avoid double billing or account issues.
🔁 Change to a Different Card or PayPal Account (Same Payment Type)
If you simply want to update the card or PayPal account associated with your current subscription:
-
Log in to your account at app.pbn.ltd
-
Click your name in the top-right corner
-
From the dropdown, select “Billing”
-
In the Billing section, you'll see your current payment method listed
-
Click “Manage” or “Change” to update your card or PayPal details
✅ This process will keep your subscription active and billing on schedule without interruption.
🔄 Switching Payment Types (e.g., From Card to PayPal)
If you’re switching between different payment types (e.g. card → PayPal or PayPal → card), this must be done at the start of your next billing cycle—not mid-cycle—to avoid being charged in full for a second subscription.
⚠️ Important:
If you manually upgrade or switch to a new payment method before the next billing date, you may be charged the full price again. This is not automatically prorated unless using FastSpring.
By proceeding in this way, you accept that you may be charged in full again.
✅ Correct Way to Switch Payment Method + Subscription
To properly change your payment method at the start of your next billing period:
-
From the dashboard, click your name at the top right
-
Select the “Subscriptions” option from the dropdown menu
-
At the top of the Subscriptions page, you’ll see your current plan and payment method
-
Click the “Change” button located to the right
-
Select your new preferred payment method and subscription package
-
Before your next payment is due, complete this change to ensure proper billing and avoid duplicate charges
-
After submitting the change, refresh the page, then re-select the package you want (e.g. PBN50) and follow the on-screen steps
🔄 Sites may briefly freeze during the update process. This is normal. Your domains will return to the “OK” state automatically, one by one, as soon as the new payment is successfully processed.
🚨 Final Notes
-
Always change your payment method before your next billing date
-
Changing payment types after your payment has already been taken will cause a mismatch and billing errors
-
